A one-of-a-kind creative writing workshop that is custom made for you. You get to discuss, workshop, learn and get advice from me. Anything under the sun. This is a one-on-one zoom interaction.

We can make it more dynamic on the basis of your goals. I can share weekly exercises, give you feedback on your writing and so on.

ABOUT ME

​

I started my career as an editor with Roli Books - a leading non-fiction publishing house in Delhi. I got a 360 degree understanding of everything from manuscript selection, publicity, copywriting, copyediting, proofing and author liaison. 

 

I hold an MA in Creative Writing from a reputed university in the UK. I had the opportunity to be mentored by some amazing professors and authors like Fay Weldon. I graduated with merit and turned my thesis into a Nielsen and Amazon bestseller book published by HarperCollins India in 2019 after securing a top literary agent. The genre was coming-of-age and romance.

 

In addition to editing, proofreading and promoting my book at literary festivals, I worked in tandem with HarperCollins India to optimise their sales and marketing strategies and was involved at a very deep level.

 

I also have a solid background in critical writing and thinking because of my B.A. (Honours) degree in English Literature from one of the best colleges in India. We studied Dickens, books like Heart of Darkness, and excerpts from Paradise Lost. We also covered books like Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre and the Bond novel, From Russia With Love. That intellectual side of things balanced with popular fiction gave me a good understanding of what makes trendy fiction tick, as well as respect for the 18th century canon of literature that romantic writing originally comes from.

 

I love books, have always been a reader. I think, talk and dream in English thanks to my upbringing. I look forward to working with you!
