I can spot the writing that I wrote when I was really really inspired and I guess instead of fighting with my mind, that I need to be this inspired everyday, I'm just telling myself that that was a really good starting point. What I need is already there.
All I have to do is turn up everyday and follow the breadcrumbs. The more I show up, the more I engage with writing and creativity and the better I understand it or understand how to surrender to it.
This is going to be another weekend full of creative writing workshops and I'm looking forward to it.
I'm happy to do the exercises set for me and I now understand that even if what I write, doesn't necessarily convert into something, it is valuable practise for the piece of writing which I work on next week, which might, at least I got a little better at crafting a character or writing description today.
